Just because you have no desire to sit behind a desk all day doesn’t mean that you can’t earn a full-time salary. In fact, thanks to the growth of the internet and computer-based jobs, it’s easier than ever to earn a location independent paycheck.

If you’re looking for a way to make a full-time living as a full-time traveler (or simply as a stay-at-home parent) here are four great ways to make it happen.
1. Find a Remote Job
Any job that can be done on a computer, can be done remotely. Therefore, if you want the stability of a full-time career with an employer, find a remote job. There are hundreds of companies that will give you benefits, retirement funds, and possibly other perks like a free laptop or gym stipend. If you want flexibility and stability, consider finding a remote job with a full-time employer.
2. Become a “Serious” Freelancer
If you want to make money doing what you love – then consider freelancing. You can easily make $50+ an hour freelancing – all while focusing on projects that you enjoy. A full-time employee must do whatever the boss says, but a freelancer is able to take on only those projects that they enjoy – and leave the rest for someone else.
3. Start a Remote Business
Starting a fully digital and remote business is easier than you might think. There are literally hundreds of business ideas that can be run remotely – from importing products to be sold on Amazon, to managing a creative agency, to helping people plan vacations or career changes. The beauty of starting a remote business is that you can work from anywhere, be your own boss, and gain a variety of business perks (like gaining points from your business credit cards and writing off certain activities on your taxes).
4. Develop a Blog
Although similar to freelancing and/or running a remote business, blogging should be mentioned on its own because of it’s unique nature. All you need to do to monetize a blog is pick a topic, set up a basic blog, grow your audience, and find a variety of affiliate and referral programs that relate to your topic. Then, every time someone clicks through a link and makes a purchase, you get a commission! Blogging is truly one of the most flexible forms of income available today. Although it takes a bit of work to get started, it’s well worth it!
There are millions of people making serious money without having a traditional job. Therefore, whether you have a desire to travel the world, or stay home with family, try one (or several) of the activities above to afford your dream.
